With its anti-oxidant properties, Turmeric is able to clean the liver and prevent harmful chemicals from reaching it. Like coconut oil, Alzheimer’s disease can also be prevented with consumption of Turmeric as it helps reduce inflammation in the brain.
High doses of Turmeric can cause indigestion, nausea and diarrhea. Consume in moderation.
Gives a musky flavour and yellow colour to curries. Add a small pinch of turmeric powder to salad dressing to give it a bit of spice and an orange-yellow hue. Enhances recipes that uses rice, lentils and dry beans.
