A compound called Pyrazine, found in Natto Miso, can reduce the possibility of blood clotting. Natto helps to avoid thrombosis which can lead to a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or stroke.
It is traditionally prepared by steaming it with momigara (rice bran). You can try sprinkle it with salt and roast with nuka (powdered rice bran) in a pan. It can also be mixed with minced chicken and stir-fried in sesame oil, ginger and garlic. If you’d like to, you can add in Tabasco for that extra kick.
