Try mixing red rice with jasmine brown rice (1/3 cup of red rice to 1 cup of brown rice). Red rice can be either be cooked as rice soup or combined with white jasmine rice in small quantities. It is best to soak 30 min separately before adding to white jasmine rice.
Red rice will take lesser time to cook then brown rice but more time to cook then white rice. It will be firm and chewy when cooked. Best eaten with robust curries and vegetarian dishes.
