Recommended Usage
- Soak the beans for at least 5 hours (some guides may recommend soaking overnight)
- Discard the water
- Then boil them in fresh water intensely for a minimum of 10 minutes with occasional stirring
- Do not add any seasoning (e.g. salt) until the beans are cooked as it will make the beans tougher and it will take a longer time to cook
