Hulled Millet is considered a wholegrain and is rich in nutrients such as protein, B-Vitamins (B3,B6), and minerals such as magnesium, copper, phosphorus, and manganese. Millet is alkaline, gluten free, and easily digestible. Its high protein content is a good addition to a vegetarian diet. Millet is high in fibre and low simple sugars. As such, it has a lower glycemic index (GI) and has been shown to produce lower blood sugar levels compared to wheat or rice. Magnesium in millet can help reduce migraines and heart attacks. - Grounded into powder and added to bread/muffin recipes
- Toss cooked and chill millet with chopped vegetables, chicken or tofu cubes.
